I’m running the Great North Run in memory of my beautiful sister, Shannon, who sadly lost her battle with an aggressive mouth cancer on New Year’s Eve last year.

Losing her has been incredibly hard for all of us she is deeply loved and missed every single day, and life just isn’t the same without her.

I’m taking on this challenge not only to honour her, but also to support the amazing team at St Cuthbert’s, who gave Shannon such care, comfort, and dignity during her illness. Their kindness meant so much to us as a family.
