VE Day was a euphoric day for the British nation after so many years of struggle under the cloud of a World War. The hardships were reflected across our society from our brave soldiers fighting on the front line to families and relatives at home facing the worry for loved ones and the care for families and the maintainance of our way of life during war time.

In memory of the 80th anniversary of VE Day I will be cycling 800 miles between 24th March 25 and Armed Forces Day on 28th June 2025. My goal is to raise £800 for The Royal Marines Association the Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC) supporting serving Royal Marines, their families and veterans.

Please donate to our justgiving page. £5 will be an excellent contribution but equally smaller or greater donations will be gladly accepted.

Also, on 28th June we the RMA Poole & District Branch will be celebrating Armed Forces Day 2025. We will be present in Falklands Square Poole town centre where we will be happy to meet the members of public to talk about the Royal Marines, their families and veterans and how we support them. We will have lots of badges, stickers and memorabilia for the children as well as recruiting advice. So please come along and visit our stand and make a donation to support our veterans.

Armed Forces Day will Mark the end of my 800 miles cycle raising £800. Along with all kind donations on the 28th June 2025 it is hoped that we at RMA Poole & District Branch can raise over £1000 for our veterans who have given so much to guarantee our freedom and British way of life.
