My Rugby Ramble challenge to support Sidmouth Hospice at Home!

Paul Steptoe is raising money for Sidmouth Hospice at Home

Sidmouth RFC Men’s Rugby Ramble 2026 · 14 March 2026

Two routes, one reason: bringing Club and Community together to support Sidmouth Hospice at Home - the Sid Valley’s very own charity funded hospice service caring for adults at end of life, at home. What better excuse to geddon’ and ramble!

Story

Cancer touches us all, but together we can make a difference.

I’m taking part in the Men’s Rugby Ramble challenge on Saturday 14th March 2026 to support and raise money for Sidmouth Hospice at Home.

The Sidmouth RFC Men's Rugby Ramble aims to raise awareness and funds for the hospice service, who provide specialist end of life care to our community members in the comfort of their own homes, enabling them to feel safe and to be surrounded by those they love most.

Whilst it represents excellent value in every way, in the coming year it will cost more than £1million to care for our community, and since it's a service funded entirely by donations alone, every penny and pound makes a difference.

The Ramble also offers the chance for participants to walk in memory of loved ones lost, in support of those facing life limiting diagnosis now, and to support the hospice service so it's there for those in need in the future. It also enables guys to connect with old friends and make new ones. It's pretty special.

A donation of any amount will truly help me to reach my goal and your support means the world to me and to those affected by cancer.

Thanks for your support.
