Story
The Sidmouth RFC Men’s Charity Walk is back for 2026, even bigger and better than before!
On Saturday 14th March 2026, the event will bring together club and community for a common cause, whilst offering guys a great, rugby themed day out.
The 2025 event set the success bar pretty high, with over 250 guys taking part, a fantastic total of more than £17k raised, and some amazing memories made along the way. In 2026 we are offering two route options for our Ramblers but, for the same valuable reason…
Sidmouth Hospice at Home is the charity funded, specialist hospice service for the Sid Valley, supporting adults living with life limiting illness across community at end of life.
It’s an independent service that’s considered to be innovative – because our specialist clinical care is delivered to patients at home – and it’s also exemplary, with the ‘Sidmouth Model’ viewed as an example for positive change.
Whilst it represents excellent value for money, in the coming year and as demand continues to grow, it will cost more than £1million to fund our specialist, 24/7 palliative service for the community.
Funding is a challenge for all hospice services, but unlike our counterparts across Devon, and the majority country wide, our hospice does not receive any government funding to support our costs. It’s a service funded entirely by the community, for the community, making it all the more remarkable. It's the pride of the Sid Valley.
Demand for our services continues to grow and we simply can’t do it without your support, so please, sign up, set off, sponsor and let’s make a great day out a success for club, community and charity alike.
Every donation makes a difference.

The Sidmouth RFC Rugby Ramble is a fantastic example of how our community carries our hospice service forward and has taken it to their hearts. I am so proud to represent Sidmouth Hospice at Home as their CEO and to take part in this special event each year. It's a fantastic day.
