Paul Sullivan is raising money for Wooden Spoon

The Longest Game - Guinness World Record · 17 June 2025 to 18 June 2025 ·

This June, over a day and a half, 92 men and women are coming together to raise as much as we can for LooseHeadz, Wooden Spoon and the Lions Trust by aiming to break the record for the longest games of rugby.

Story

For those who know me, rugby has played a big part in my life! It has provided me with some fantastic opportunities to travel the world, memorable experiences and cross paths with some amazing individuals!

I also like collecting obscure records and doing some mad stuff from time to time to, so thought would combine them all to raise some money for good causes.

So this June, for an unforgettable day and a half, I’ll be joining 92 incredible men and women split across 4 teams in an extraordinary challenge - to break a Guinness World Record for the longest rugby games ever played, all in the name of three amazing charities.

LooseHeadz (Mental Heath Charity) and Wooden Spoon (Childrens Charity) in partnership with the British & Irish Lions Trust Lions Trust are aiming to break two Guinness World Record with concurrent games for men and women. The target to beat is currently 30 hours 29 minutes 41 seconds for a men’s game and for the women’s record is 24 hours, 5 minutes, and 15 seconds.

The aim is play for 36 hours straight and to collectively raise over £100,000 for charity.

I am reaching out for your support. Any contribution will not only help us achieve this ambitious goal but also make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Together, we can create change through sport and community spirit.

Thank you for considering supporting 'The Longest Game - Guinness World Record' event on June 17th, 2025.
