Story
Paul and Timea are taking on an unforgettable adventure to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World trekking to the heart of Inca civilisation at Machu Picchu all in support of LOROS.
For Timea, this trek is the realisation of a lifelong dream. She has wanted to walk to Machu Picchu since she was 14, and following the lesser-travelled Ancascocha Trail through the Peruvian Andes makes this journey even more meaningful. Over several days, they’ll walk ancient Inca pathways, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, flowing rivers and remote communities fully immersed in the history, beauty and challenge of the Andes.
Alongside fulfilling a long-held dream, this trek is also about giving something back. Paul has seen first-hand the compassion, dignity and care LOROS provides, having supported people close to him through life-limiting illness. That experience is a powerful reason for taking on this challenge in support of such an incredible charity.
LOROS provides specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illness, helping patients and their families from diagnosis and throughout their journey.
After days on the trail, the reward will be extraordinary. Reaching the Sun Gate and catching a first glimpse of Machu Picchu will be an unforgettable moment representing perseverance, shared commitment and the meaning behind every step taken along the way. Knowing this journey is helping to support the vital work of LOROS will make that moment even more profound.
This is more than just a trek. It’s the fulfilment of a lifelong dream, a shared challenge, and a journey to be truly proud of. Thank you so much for supporting Paul and Timea and helping make a real difference.
