Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I was fortunate to be one of 56 people who came together with the Emergency Services Aid Charity and successfully delivered 18 emergency vehicles & equipment to Gambia under the banner of Op Zephyr in September 2022.  

A drive of over 3,500 miles from the UK; many hurdles and frustrations were overcome and ESAC delivered on their promise to support the local community there (and will continue to do so). 

Whilst in Gambia I was invited to visit 16 year old Momodou Salieu who due to an accident at school is dependent on others for daily living - it is for him that I have instigated this fundraiser fully supported by ESAC. Every penny raised will provide medication, aids, nutrition or education to give him the chance of a healthy, worthwhile life. You can read more about his story in the updates.

As an alternative to a single donation you may wish to consider making a small regular donation (can be paid monthly through this account) which will help us to pay his care costs going forward which for the next 6-12 months are likely to be in the region of £500 per month. As his health and education improves it can be expected that he will in the future be more self sufficient and his care needs and dependency on others will reduce.

 I have established a secure link through which whatever Momo requires will be provided (for as long as there is money available).

Should there become a time when Momo has no use for any funds raised, this account will be closed and the balance passed to ESAC for their continued support to the people of The Gambia.
