Story

As the interim Chairperson of the Friends of Corinium Museum Committee I am asking for your continued support to help the Friends of Corinium Museum meet its £25,000 target, to preserve, interpret and display two rare Roman swords and a copper bowl at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester!

Preservation of the two swords and the copper bowl is now complete. The next step is to raise £16,000 to fund the construction of a bespoke climatically controlled cabinet with specialised lighting to include information on panels and labels and so display these rare items in the museum.

If you are interested in the history of the Cotswolds why not become a Friend of Corinium Museum and become involved in helping to preserve our heritage.

Why not drop in to the Corinium Museum in Cirencester on Park Street to see the amazing artefacts we have on display, many have been funded by donations received through the Friends.
