Story
This April I will be running the London Marathon 2026 to raise money for HEART UK, in memory of my Dad.
20 years ago, my family and I lost my Dad to a sudden heart attack when he was just 39 years old. Not only does this year mark 20 years since we lost my Dad, but also marks what would have been his 60th birthday.
Over the past few years running has helped me tackle the struggles that come with losing a loved one from a young age. I know that 26.2 miles will be the biggest challenge I’ve faced but every step of it will be worth it to help raise awareness for an incredible cause close to my heart, and to hopefully help others spend more time with their loved ones.
The London Marathon is not just about the race for me, but about making my Dad proud and helping other families from experiencing the same pain and losing loved ones too soon.
HEART UK is a small charity making a big impact - offering expert advice, campaigning for earlier diagnosis, and supporting families. They receive no government funding, so donations like yours genuinely keep them going.
Please give what you can - no amount is too small. Thank you so much for your support - it means the world to me.
Help me keep hearts running.
Thank you so much,
Philippa ♥️💙
