Story
For reasons I still haven’t fully explained to myself, I’ve decided to take on Total Warrior in Leeds on 27th June… again.
Yes, apparently once wasn’t enough. After surviving the mud, water, climbing, crawling, slipping, sliding and questioning every life choice last time, I’ve somehow convinced myself that doing it a second time is a good idea.
This year I’ll be taking on the 12k course, including obstacles with cheerful names like Peaks of Pain, The Shocker, Human BBQ, Hang Tough and Cement Mixer — which all sound less like a charity challenge and more like a warning label.
But underneath the questionable decision-making, it’s all for a brilliant cause. I’m raising money for Veterans at Ease, a charity that supports veterans, serving military personnel, reservists and their families with mental health and wellbeing support.
So, if you’d like to sponsor me while I voluntarily run through mud, climb things I have no business climbing, and probably regret this around obstacle three, I’d be hugely grateful.
Every donation helps — and also makes my suffering feel slightly more purposeful.
Thank you!
