Phoebie & Jaki's fundraiser for Severn Hospice

Shimmer Walk · 10 May 2025 ·
When our uncle / brother was given his terminal diagnosis Severn hospice were fabulous from the get-go the hospice to home team helped keep him at home for as long as possible with his husband and 3 Dachshunds then the team on the Perry ward at Bicton stepped in to take over his care up to his final moments. They weren't only there helping care him they cared for us too as a family. They were hugs when needed, Shoulder's to cry on and lights at the end of the tunnel.
That's why we've signed up to for the 5k shimmer walk in honour of Doug but also to support the AMAZING work these guys do day in day out. Without charities like these difficult times would be so much harder.
For every £1 you donate, the hospice will spend 84p directly on care – and use the remaining 16p to make another £1.
Last year, all those individual donations meant the hospice could be there when it mattered for 3,000 local families. Now in their 35th year of caring for families let's make this a superb year and dig deep to help other families like mine. It's because you care that they can care. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
