Story
Since 2021, Reckitt and WWF have been working together on an inspiring mission to protect nature and the freshwater ecosystems that are a vital life-source to people and wildlife.
I’m proud to share that I will be doing my part in this mission, taking part in WWF-UK and Reckitt’s Journey of Water Challenge in South Africa.
💧Why now?
Due to issues like climate change, pollution and destruction of habitats, freshwater systems in South Africa are facing unprecedented pressure.
By 2030, the country is expected to have 17% less water than it needs.
Communities, ecosystems and livelihoods are at risk.
Water scarcity is real and it’s urgent.
🧗♂️My Commitment:
In March 2026, I will be volunteering along the Tugela River in the Drakensberg, South Africa - supporting communities who rely on the river for their livelihoods and raising awareness for the restoration of vital freshwater ecosystems.
In addition to this, I’ve committed to raise £4,000 for WWF to help with Reckitt’s goal to replenish 75,000 cubic metres of freshwater in the Northern Drakensberg Strategic Water Source Area.
To kick things off, in November I’ll be climbing the height of Table Mountain (1,086m) at Rock City Climbing Centre in Hull — that’s 100 climbs up an 11m wall! Wish me luck! 😆
If you’d like to support me in this challenge, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Every penny goes directly to WWF — helping to protect nature, people, and our shared water resources. 💦
