The ongoing conflict and situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Support the British Red Cross Gaza Crisis Appeal to enable us to respond quickly and help wherever the need is greatest.

Story

I am shaving my head to raise money for the Gaza Crisis Appeal, something that should be near and dear to anyone's heart who is witnessing this horrific loss of life. Here is more information on the charity from The British Red Cross.

The ongoing conflict and situation in Gaza is catastrophic. On 22 August, the IPC (Integrated Food Security Phase Classification) declared famine in parts of Gaza. Aid is desperately needed. Food supplies are virtually gone and the medical system is in ruins. 470,000 people are on the brink of mass starvation. Essential humanitarian supplies, including critical medication and infant formula, are completely unavailable.

We are witnessing unacceptable and relentless human suffering and the sheer scale of the response and recovery effort needed to match the needs will require funding for many years to come.

Please note:

The Gaza Crisis Appeal will support people in areas affected and those potentially affected in the future by this crisis. Gift Aid claimed on donations received in response to this appeal will be used to fund the whole of our work. In the event there are surplus funds raised for this appeal these will be used for the general charitable purposes of the British Red Cross.
