Ride Against Hunger 2026 · 10 September 2026 to 14 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Ride Against Hunger 2026 heads to the French Pyrenees, where cyclists will take on 3.5 days of epic riding, over 6,000m of climbing and the iconic Col du Tourmalet, raising vital funds for Action Against Hunger’s life-saving work.

Story

Last year, I took part in the Ride Against Hunger challenge in Mallorca. It took months of training, commitment and determination, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. The more I learned about the incredible work Action Against Hunger does, and spending time riding alongside people who genuinely want to make difference , made me want to do it all again.

This year, I'm delighted to be taking on an even bigger challenge alongside one of my oldest friends and fellow chef, Matt Heeley.

Matt and I first worked together at Murano many years ago and we've remained close friends ever since. We've both built our careers around a shared passion for cooking and hospitality. We spend our lives feeding people, bringing them together around the table and creating memorable experiences through food.

That's why this charity means so much to us.

The reality is that millions of people around the world don't know where their next meal is coming from. As chefs, we know how powerful food can be. Supporting a charity whose mission is to help end hunger feels like one of the most meaningful ways we can give something back.

This September we'll be taking on the French Pyrenees, cycling over 6,000 metres of climbing across three and a half days, including the legendary Col du Tourmalet. It's a much bigger challenge than last year, and our training has already begun. There are plenty of early mornings, long rides and tired legs ahead, but every mile brings us closer to raising vital funds for Action Against Hunger.

Alongside the ride, we'll also be doing what we know best.

We're hosting two special fundraising dinners where we'll be cooking together to raise even more money for this incredible cause.

Trinity Upstairs, London – 8 September

Spruce at Newhall Mains, Scotland – Date to be confirmed

Whether you join us at one of the dinners, sponsor the ride or simply share this page, every contribution will make a real difference.

We'd love to see even more chefs, restaurants, suppliers and friends of the industry take on Ride Against Hunger in the years ahead. It's a challenge that requires commitment, but it's achievable, hugely rewarding and supports a cause that feels incredibly close to all of us who work with food every day.

Thank you for supporting us. We can't wait to share our training, the fundraising dinners and the ride itself over the coming months. Together, let's make this our biggest fundraising effort yet.
