Story
On 6th September 2025, three members of the progressive team — James Rayner, James Kidby, and Zac Phillips — will be taking on 30km (18.6 miles) of rugged Dartmoor, starting in Postbridge, to raise money for Hospiscare.
Hospiscare provides specialist care and support for people living with life-limiting illnesses across Devon. Their work touches so many families in our community, and they rely on fundraising events like this to keep those services running.
Meet the team:
James Rayner – Member of the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Ashburton, no stranger to Dartmoor or long-distance hikes, but this one is all about raising funds for a cause close to home.
James Kidby – Usually found contract managing progressive’s sites around the South West, now swapping work boots for hiking boots.
Zac Phillips – An accountant who clearly doesn’t believe in taking it easy — tackling 30km across Dartmoor as a warm-up… for climbing Kilimanjaro the very next week.
We’ll be trekking across moorland, tackling tough climbs, and (hopefully) dodging Dartmoor’s famous weather — all to support Hospiscare’s incredible work.
💙 Every donation makes a difference — whether it’s £5 or £50, your support will help ensure Hospiscare can continue to be there for local people when they need it most.
Thank you for donating, sharing, and cheering us on!
