This year, I’m taking on something that truly terrifies me — cycling from London to Paris in just 24 hours as part of the Duchenne Dash 2026.

It’s a huge challenge. The distance, the exhaustion, the unknown… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared of whether I have the stamina to make it. But then I think about my boys, Owen (11) and George (9), and everything they face every single day living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

And suddenly, my challenge doesn’t feel so big.

They don’t get to rest when things get hard. They don’t get to choose when to stop. Their strength, their resilience, their courage — it’s something I carry with me in every mile I ride. When my legs are burning and my mind is telling me to quit, I’ll think of them. They will be the reason I keep going.

This ride is for Owen. For George. For every family facing Duchenne. For hope. For progress. For an end to this cruel condition.

I may be afraid, but I will never stop fighting for my boys 💙💙
