Story
I’m taking part in the Big BSL Fundraiser for the British Deaf Association (BDA) this March.
I’ll be walking 135km across the month to help support the BDA’s vital work promoting and protecting British Sign Language (BSL) and the rights of Deaf people.
I can’t count the amount of times in a week people say to me “SIGN LANGUAGE SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS”– the BDA plays a huge role in making that future possible. From campaigning for better access and equality, to raising awareness of BSL and Deaf culture, their work makes a real and lasting difference.
As someone who works closely with Deaf Community, I see first-hand how important access to BSL really is.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, you’d be helping to support the BDA’s incredible work and the wider Deaf community.
Thank you so much for your support 🧡
