Story
This March, I’m fundraising to help make British Sign Language visible, valued and lived — not just during Sign Language Week, but every single day.
For many Deaf children and adults, BSL is the key to connection, confidence and belonging. The British Deaf Association has been fighting for that right since 1890, and every pound you give helps that legacy continue.
Your donation truly changes lives:
£10 helps a deaf child join a Deaf Roots & Pride session — often the first time they’ve ever been in a space that feels fully theirs.
£20 gives someone one‑to‑one support from a Deaf advocate, helping them break down barriers and be heard.
£100 funds mentoring from a Deaf role model, turning fear into confidence and “maybe one day” into “yes, I can.”
£500 helps deliver a BSL information session for up to 20 people who need clear, accessible support.
£1,000 creates a BSL information video that the community can trust and rely on.
£2,500 supports a 10‑week Signing at Home course, helping a family learn to communicate with their deaf child with love and respect.
Together, we can make sure BSL is lived — in homes, in communities, and in everyday life.
Thank you for being part of this.
