Camino Trek 2026: Supporting Nepal’s Children · 31 December 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

A 5-day challenging 114km trek on the iconic Camino de Santiago – the legendary Spanish pilgrimage, to help give young people in Nepal greater choices in life.

Story

Where every mile means a better future !

On March 19th 2026, Roger and I will set out on a 114km trek across northern Spain. Five days. One rucksack. No shortcuts.

We will walk the Camino de Santiago carrying everything we need on our back, sleeping in basic pilgrim lodges, and pushing through long days, with tired legs, through rain, wind, and cold mornings — and the unavoidable snoring of fellow pilgrims (earplugs definitely packed).

But this walk isn’t about testing myself or Roger. It’s about changing what’s possible for young people in Nepal.

The vocational school you’ll be supporting gives children and young adults life changing skills.

Through practical trade training, students gain the chance to earn a dignified living and escape extreme poverty, where the average income is just $2 a day.

Your sponsorship will help fund classrooms, tools, and training spaces for more than 1,400 young people. It builds on two schools already established by the charity in the region — and with your support, we can double that impact.

There’s more. As part of the St. James’s Place community, every donation you make will be matched by SJP. Those matched funds will go to Jamie’s Farm, a UK charity supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.

Every step we take is powered by your support. Every donation makes a real difference.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey.
