Winter is fast approaching.

For the majority of us this means wrapping up warm with hats, gloves and scarves. Walking through the streets with a hot drink to keep our hands warm, turning up the AC in our cars so that we can stay toasty warm. Knowing that we have safe abode that we can go back to, where we can put on our fluffy dressing gowns and eat our favourite food whilst watching our favourite TV shows.

But for the homeless amongst us there is a tangible, deadly threat.

Shelter estimates that 307,000 people in the UK are sleeping rough or in temporary housing, bed and breakfast rooms, or hostels an increase of 13,000 since 2016. That means Britain has one of the highest rates of homelessness in Europe - equivalent to one person in every 200 without a home.
