Story
Apparently my recent disagreement with a concrete pipe has attracted rather more attention than anyone anticipated.
What began as a quiet afternoon at Western Farm Kingsdon somehow resulted in newspapers, radio, the BBC and rather more fame than one ram was expecting.
I still don't have an agent.
However, my staff have suggested that if all this attention is going to continue, perhaps we could use it to do something genuinely worthwhile.
Farming can be wonderful, ridiculous, exhausting, rewarding and occasionally extremely difficult — sometimes all in the same day. Behind the animals, fields and food are farming people and families who don't always have an easy time of it.
That's why the other half of Rambo's Pipe Dream is raising money for RABI – The Farmers Charity, which supports farming people when they need help.
My adventure may have involved a concrete pipe, nine ladies, two fire crews and an unfortunate amount of national media attention, but if all this silliness can help support people in the farming community, then perhaps something rather good can come from it.
Because sometimes, however independent you may think you are, you get stuck and need somebody to turn up and help.
Although, for legal purposes, I would once again like it recorded that I WAS NOT STUCK. I was conducting an inspection.
Thank you.
