One ram. One concrete pipe. Rather more attention than anybody anticipated.

My name is Rambo, and what began as a perfectly routine culvert inspection at Western Farm Kingsdon has somehow resulted in newspapers, radio interviews, national BBC coverage and a rapidly developing media career.

I still don't have an agent.

More importantly, though, my staff and I would rather like to use all this unexpected attention to do something worthwhile.

When my inspection developed certain unforeseen complications, the wonderful crews from Somerton Fire Station and the Bridgwater-based animal rescue team came to my aid. They spent considerable time, effort and ingenuity getting all 100kg of me safely out of the pipe and back to my nine ladies.

That got us thinking.

There are people who turn up when animals — and occasionally their owners — find themselves in trouble. And there are organisations that turn up for farming people when they find themselves in difficult circumstances.

So Rambo's Pipe Dream is raising money for two causes very close to our hearts:

🚒 The Fire Fighters Charity — supporting the health and wellbeing of the UK fire services community.

🚜 RABI – The Farmers Charity — supporting farming people when they need help.

We'd love to raise £1,000 between the two charities, and we'd be delighted if donations could be shared roughly equally between them.

Because sometimes, however independent you may think you are, you get stuck and need somebody to turn up and help.

Although, for legal purposes, I would like it recorded that I WAS NOT STUCK. I was conducting an inspection.
