Maartje Reilly is raising money for Home-Start Wandsworth

Rampton Baseley Three Peaks Challenge 2026 · 26 June 2026

A better start in life can change a child’s future. We help families through their toughest times, providing practical and emotional support as they face illness, disability, bereavement, poverty, isolation and more. With Home-Start support, vulnerable children can have a brighter future.

Story

Thank you for finding our Just Giving page!

It all began at a summer barbecue and in true Rampton Baseley fashion, a few of us had had some rosé…

One of us had plans to climb Mount Snowdon that weekend so in a moment of madness, someone suggested we give the Three Peaks Challenge a go! The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours. Walkers climb each peak in turn and are driven from the foot of one mountain to the next. We agreed this could be an amazing experience, as well as a great way to raise money for charity. 23 miles of walking and 462 miles of driving – what could possibly go wrong?!

After the great success of the “Apprentice Challenge” last year, doing this to raise money for Home-Start Wandsworth was a no brainer. As a Wandsworth-based business, it was important to us to support a charity that helps the local community.

Home-Start Wandsworth provides tailored, practical and emotional support to vulnerable families with children under the age of five so that they can give their children the best possible start in life. Our early childhoods, the time from pregnancy to five, fundamentally shape our whole lives. Home-Start makes sure those early years count and that no child’s future is limited.

The charity fosters a village of support and solidarity, preventing families from slipping into crisis. They help to rebuild confidence and self-esteem, reduce isolation and enable parents to acquire expertise and resilience.

We are a team of nine climbers and two drivers and will be making our attempt on Friday 26th June, hopefully finishing at the bottom of Snowdon on the 27th. Please donate and help support this amazing charity.
