Story
On Friday 28th February we lost our beautiful mum after a long battle with a muscular dystrophy disorder (IBM). Mum’s quality of life and independence had slowly declined over the past 20 years or so. Visiting the Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre (formerly, NMC - Midlands) was crucial for mum. They provided physiotherapy, and made her feel like her condition did not define her as a person. The MD Support Centre is a small, independent charity funded primarily by voluntary donations. The treatments they provide are free to their patrons, who rely on them for management of their conditions.
On Sunday 9th March, Dr Kam Bilkhu (our wonderful sister in law), will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon in mum’s memory to raise money for the MD Support Centre. We’re so incredibly grateful to her and would really appreciate your donations.
Thank you,
Ras and Bhavan
