Rob’s fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

Belfast Marathon 2025 · 4 May 2025 ·
Hi All,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know I have recently started volunteering at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and through this I have seen all the fantastic work that is done there for young people.
Therefore, and in line with my rather optimistic “quarter life” crisis, I have decided to run the Belfast marathon in the aim of raising some money for this great organisation.
Your kind donations will go away, helping in some of (but not limited to) the following ways:
-Groundbreaking research into kinder treatments and cures for rare conditions.
-Cutting-edge medical equipment to help GOSH go above and beyond for seriously ill children.
-The building and refurbishment of child-centred facilities to help the amazing medical teams at the hospital save even more young lives.
- Essential support services like in-hospital play specialists to help children process their experiences and prepare for treatment.
- Supporting the work of weekend volunteers (like myself) in providing new and engaging games and toys to bring a welcome distraction and joy to not only patients of the hospital but also their siblings.
On a personal level, the work done at the hospital has changed and will continue to change so many young lives for the better. I have been privileged enough to witness it first hand and I really appreciate any support you are able to give to it.
Many Thanks and lots of love,
Rob
