Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

For those of you who know us and the reason for our running endeavour, thanks for popping by to help us raise a mega total for our Liam and Brain Tumour Research.

But we should also formally introduce ourselves...

We are; Abi, Alex, Ali, Amy, Ashley, El, Emma, Robyn, Sarah, Simon, Soo and Vicky - and together we're running the Manchester 10k on Sunday 26 May.

Our wonderful dozen met at Burnage bar, Reasons to be Cheerful and over the years, it's fair to say we've done less running as a group than sharing some bevs - which is why this challenge felt like a good one!

We're raising funds for Brain Tumour Research, in memory of our wonderful pal and Reason's regular Liam Bergin.

Liam was diagnosed in 2020 with an aggressive glioblastoma multiforme and sadly passed away in June 2023. Our love for Liam and family is a big one and we've talked for a while about doing something in his memory to raise money for a cause he so successfully supported since his diagnosis, raising over £40,000. So this is it...

Please support us and give what you can to this wonderful cause and help find a cure for all types of brain tumours.
