Story
Esther (and maybe Olivia!) are doing 1KM a day in May to add to the total of 1000 laps of a back garden ultra. Becky is aiming for 80KM in 24 hours…..on 14th/15th May.
As a family we have just returned from Kimilili. We used to live in Kimilili and continue to help the community!
We are running to raise funds to provide more limb-saving surgeries at Dreamland Mission Hospital, Kimilili, Kenya —procedures that are simply out of reach for many who desperately need them.
The hospital is based in a rural area where access to healthcare is limited and often unaffordable for the poorest people. Fixing a broken limb in the UK is usually routine, and free. But for people in and around Kimilili, it can become a life-altering crisis. If metalwork, costing between £600-£900, is needed, it is simply unaffordable. The options are to live with a limb that no longer functions, or face amputation.
By donating, you can help save a limb, restore mobility, and give someone the chance to walk, work, and live with dignity again. What’s exciting is that, thanks to a generous partner, every donation will be matched £1 for £1 - meaning that your gift will go twice as far!
