Casino sales in Paradise, South Korea, were flat month-on-month in May but rose 25.8% year-on-year.

These revenues represented a slight sequential decline of 0.8% to 17.09 billion won ($13.6 million) compared to 17.23 billion won in April, but improved as they reached 13.58 billion won in May 2021.

Paradise Co. operates foreigner-only casinos in Korea. The group's casino division consists of Walkerhill in Seoul, Paradise Jeju in Jeju Island, Real Estate in the port city of Busan, and Paradise City in Incheon, the latter through Japan's Sega Sammy Holdings Inc. and ventures.

Table game sales in Paradise rose 0.1% sequentially to 14.93 billion won in May this year, up 27.9% year-on-year, according to data submitted to the Korea Exchange on Tuesday.

Machine game sales fell 6.8% month-on-month to 2.16 billion won, but were up 13.1% year-on-year in 2021.

In January-May 2022, group casino sales fell 8.9% year-over-year to 880.08 billion won.

Table drop amounts for May, which customers exchanged for chips at casino tables, fell 1.4% month-on-month to 121.84 billion won, down 10.5% year-on-year.

The calendar year total to May 31 fell 11.0% year-on-year to 604.57 billion won.
