Hello folks,

It's me Amy Kate. I am taking on a personal challenge for Gameblast 26, in aid of raising money for Special Effect, a charity that is near and dear to my heart! They're such an amazing charity and I always love fundraising for them.

On Saturday, February 28th from 10AM UK time, I will be starting a run of Resident Evil 2 Remake, and playing throughout the whole day.

The twist? I will be playing with a randomizer active.

Almost everything in the game will be randomized. Extra enemies will be added. Their health values will be random. Boss fights will be harder.

Basically, I am setting myself up for failure in a game I haven't played in years, and was never all that good at to begin with. My aim is terrible, my movement is sloppy, and I am generally not very good at 3rd person games to begin with.

But I have a lot of game knowledge. So I'm hoping that will carry me through.

I'm working on tweaking the settings to give myself the maximum challenge I can almost handle. I intend to push myself past my limit.

And die a lot.

It should be fun!

So if you're around on the day it would be great to see you! I can promise a world of pain taken in good humour, and maybe I'll even beat the game before it beats me.

SpecialEffect put fun and inclusion into the lives of people with physical disabilities, enabling them to play video games & access technology with whichever part(s) of their body they can use best.

By adapting technology from modified joypads to eye-control, we find a way for people to play to the best of their abilities, bringing families and friends together & having a profoundly positive impact on confidence, rehabilitation and quality of life. We also work with eye-control, helping those completely paralysed & unable to speak to communicate just by moving their eyes.

Help me support them today!
