Restart a Heart returns this October 2025! Learn CPR, act fast, save lives.
Everyone should feel confident and ready to act when every second counts. so I'll be running several Restart a Heart events around York (and beyond!) over the month of October in several Brew York venues and others! Keep an eye on their social media accounts for dates - just drop in, have a go and - importantly - see how easy using an AED is!
Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK which aims to increase the number of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests by helping more people learn CPR and become ResusReady.
Survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest remain stubbornly low in the UK, with fewer than one in 10 people surviving.
In Scandanavian countries, people are 40% more likely to survive - this is literally down to more people being trained in CPR and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
CPR saves lives! But over a third of people in the UK have never had the chance to learn this simple lifesaving skill.
Your donations will help the Resuscitation Council UK invest more in their campaigning work to give everyone across the UK the skills to save a life.
