Overview

After completing a 12 Hour Tennis Marathon in 2024 raising over £900.00 for Parkinson's UK, the plan is to go even bigger and better in the Summer of 2025.

I will be completing 24 hours of non stop tennis to raise money for Rackets Cubed a UK registered charity that delivers an integrated programme comprising of racket sports, STEM education and a healthy nutritious meal as part of weekly activities to key stage two pupils in disadvantaged and underserved areas – providing the children with the key benefits of active participation in sport, enhanced education and a healthy and nutritious meal.

This is a massive challenge so I'm looking to create an event with a bit of a buzz on the day! Which is why I need YOUR Help!

Event & Open Day

Alongside supporting Rackets Cubed, the Northampton Tennis Foundation will be hosting a club open day throughout the event, this will involve a tournament for local businesses and courts/coaches available if you'd like to give tennis a try for free!

Alongside this we will have various stalls available, hot food and a fully licensed bar.

Local Media/Photography

I'd love to generate a bit of noise in the local media closer to the time and plan to have media attendance/coverage of the event.

The goal is also to livestream the event alongside this.

Raffle

For every £1 donated through justgiving (or raffle tickets for cash donations on the day) you will be entered into a raffle to win one of our amazing prizes which have been donated. Including a signed T-Shirt from GB #1 Jack Draper.

My Story

I'm Reuben, 25 from Northamptonshire. I've played tennis since aged 5 so it's been a massive part of my life. I've also completed my LTA Level 2 coaching qualifications and have previously worked as a tennis coach.

In April 2024 in memory of my Grandad Mick, I completed a 12 Hour Tennis Marathon raising over £900.00 for Parkinson's UK. Although this was an amazing achievement and I was very sore afterwards, I feel I can do more and want to make this event even more of a success!

ABOUT RACKETS CUBED

Rackets Cubed has been operating as a charity since 2016, currently we reach almost 1,000 children every week. We want to continue to change the lives of even more children across the UK.

To do this, we need your help! By rallying together and fundraising with us we can positively change children's physical & mental wellbeing, provide opportunities to learn a new racket sport, extra STEM learning and a nutritional meal!

Rackets Cubed operate fun integrated after-school programmes for KS2 children. Each programme has 25-30 pupils who participate in the programme once per week. We work with schools with 30% or higher Free School Meals ensuring we target the most underserved communities in the UK. Our programmes run at venues such as universities & sports clubs.
