I'm taking on 31 minutes in May to support the Stroke Association

Team: Lister Stroke Therapy Team fundraiser for The Stroke Association

31 minutes in May · 1 May 2026 ·

Challenge yourself to do 31 minutes of exercise - any exercise you like - every day in May and raise money to help stroke survivors find strength through support.

Story

The Stroke therapy team at Lister Hospital are taking on the 31 minutes in May challenge to raise vital funds for stroke support.

As clinicians we work day in, day out with people affected by stroke and see the huge impact stroke has on people’s lives. We are passionate about helping stroke survivors to recover and rehabilitate and we also want to support the great work done by The Stroke Association.

May is Stroke Awareness Month. Every day in May, another 240 people will wake up to the life-changing impact of a stroke.

Mums, dads, grandparents, young people, and even children can be left unable to move, see, speak, or even swallow. It's a traumatic, life-changing event that robs survivors and their families of the life they knew.

Your support means people don’t have to face the recovery journey alone. 💜
