YDMT Total Warrior 2026

Richard Hore is raising money for Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust

Total Warrior · 26 June 2026 to 28 June 2026 ·

Nothing says Yorkshire Dales like getting wet & muddy for a good cause! Our team of competitors are raising money & awareness for the protection & preservation of our woodlands, meadows & wildlife habitats, and keeping the Dales accessible to all.

Story

Myself and Ethan (aged 9) are taking on the 2026 Total Warrior for YDMT because protecting our planet starts close to home. We believe nature isn’t just something to admire, it’s something that restores us, grounds us, and gives us the strength to keep going.

This has been especially true over the last 8 months, following Ethan's Addison's/Adrenal Insufficiency diagnosis. It's presented huge challenges for Ethan to overcome and we're super proud of how far he's come. Taking on Total Warrior would have felt impossible just a few months ago, so getting over the finish line will be an amazing achievement.

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) works at a local level to protect and restore the places we all depend on, proving that small actions really do add up. Total Warrior felt like the perfect challenge: wet, muddy, uncomfortable, and completely worth it, just your average day in the Dales!

We're running, climbing, crawling, and getting filthy to support the idea that we can all do what we can, where we are, to protect our planet. If you believe that too, please sponsor us and help make a local difference.

Anything myself and Ethan raise in excess of our £210 target will be donated to The Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group, which has been a real help to us as we've navigated the challenges of a rare disease, where information and support is often lacking.
