Last year the young daughter of one of our friends suddenly and inexplicably passed away and no-one knows why. Ellie planned to be a doctor and spent a few days in the Cardiology department at the Bath RUH to explore her passion. She would’ve been a fantastic doctor.

This year Richard had a heart related health scare, and as coincidence would have it my Cardiologist was the same doctor that Ellie had work experience with.

Our wider group of friends have come together through school, university and working life. We have stood together through many good times and bad. To help their parents with their grief journey we’ve all set ourselves a challenge to walk the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales in three days. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. They will take part too.

This challenge is about support and togetherness but if we can raise a little money also for a good cause... well, that would be amazing.

Therefore, we wish to continue to honour Ellie's wonderful memory by raising life saving donations for the Super-Rehab Cardiology Research Program at the Bath RUH.

The many practice walks are also helping to strengthen our own hearts, limbs, heads and friendships.
