Story
I am taking on a personal challenge walk with a difference: walking 8 golf courses, one a day for eight days...blindfolded...to raise money in support of Guide Dogs.
Part of the challenge is to remember our beautiful Guide Dog Ambassador Dog, Annie, who we sadly lost earlier this year. She's left a huge hole in our lives.
But, this journey is about more than distance. It is about recognising the daily barriers faced by people living with sight loss and standing in support of a future where everyone can move through the world with confidence, independence, and dignity....Life Unleashed!
Across the UK, almost two million people live with sight loss that affects their everyday lives. For many, the impact goes far beyond what others can see. Around 180,000 people rarely leave their homes alone and can experience loneliness and isolation. Guide Dogs is working to change that by helping create a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, and where blindness or partial sight is not what defines someone.
By supporting this fundraiser, you are helping to provide vital support that can make a real difference. Every donation brings us closer to a world where sight loss is no barrier to living the life someone chooses. Please donate to help reach the initial target of £1,000 and support Guide Dogs in their important work.
