Richard's fundraising for Crohn’s & Colitis UK

RIDE IT 2025 · 1 April 2025 to 30 April 2025 ·
Hi, I’m Richard, age 54 from Coalville in Leicester.
I am doing a dedicated 200mile bike ride for my chosen charity of Crohn’s & Colitis UK – a charity very close to me and my family’s heart. My wife has been suffering with this illness for 20 years now, and has greatly affected our family.
With my passion for the outdoors, biking and meeting like-minded people, I wanted to raise both awareness and money towards this charity. Any donation is very much appreciated. Your donation will help with improving research, medical findings, improvement of medications and supporting those who suffer with this disease.
Every day, people are diagnosed with Crohn's or Colitis, the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease. You could be any age, rich or poor, of any faith or none, of any ethnicity, sexuality, or gender. You could be anyone walking down any UK street. Whoever you are, a diagnosis of Crohn's or Colitis will be life changing. Crohn’s and Colitis is the leading charity for this cause.
Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of - and the real number could be almost double that.
Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence - but they’re not alone.
Crohn's and Colitis are working to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.
I work for Three Point – a creative agency in Leicester that specialise in retail point of sale and brand activation. Thankfully, Three Point are Sponsoring me on this journey and I couldn’t be happier.
I will be proudly wearing my branded jacket as I make my way through many miles of biking, so please, come along on this journey with me and support this amazing charity.
Please share to your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours and beyond!
Thank you for the support,
Richard.
