Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
When Ella (Karl’s daughter) was born, she spent precious time at Great Ormond Street Hospital, receiving incredible care from dedicated staff who made a lasting impact on her life. In gratitude for the amazing work done by this remarkable team, we have decided to embark on an adventure together: trekking across Tanzania to conquer Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
This journey is not just about reaching new heights; it’s about giving back to those who have given so much. The need for support is ever-present, and we believe that by sharing our story and taking action, we can help ensure that other children receive the same exceptional care that made a difference in our lives.
Meet the team:
Karl (far left in the picture) - Intrepid and slightly deluded, fearless leader
Richard - The inquisitive explorer, with questions such as ‘how much further?’, keeping us forever entertained
Darren (centre of the picture) - The one that actually knows what he’s doing
We invite you to join us in this mission. Your generous donations will directly support the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, helping to provide vital resources and care for children in need. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and secure. Your details are safe with them—they will never sell your information or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, your contribution goes directly to the charity, making it the most efficient way to support this important cause. Together, let’s make a difference and reach our target of £500.
