Story
Richard House Children's Hospice
Richard House Children's Hospice serves the heart of east London.
They deliver specialist care for babies, children and young adults, while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. With a focus on living for today and creating positive memories for tomorrow, the trust also offers a range of activities for all the family to enjoy.
The Trust's services are completely free of charge and as a local charity over 70% of their funding is charitable - from the generosity of local people, companies, groups, and you!
Globe Rowing Club's Fundraiser
A number of club rowers will be rowing a 12-hour ergathon in Greenwich Naval College on Sunday 24th September. Several of us visited the hospice and were deeply impressed and moved, by their facilities and staff, and the services they provide. We were inspired to set ambitious targets for ourselves in completing the erg and in fundraising.
There will be individual rowers, pairs, and teams rowing on rowing machines. This will be a grueling challenge for all those taking part and we would love any and all support on the day!
We will be collecting donations on the day as well as in advance.
Our overall goal is £5,000, with a £4,000 target for Richard House and £1,000 for Globe RC (a registered community amateur sports club).
