Thank you for taking the time to review. My 15 year old son and I will be taking part in the Manchester 10k on Sunday 18th May in order to raise much needed funding for Age UK Blackburn with Darwen and Age UK Cheshire.

Demand for the services of both Age UK Blackburn with Darwen and Age UK Cheshire increased dramatically following the Covid pandemic and cost of living crisis, at a time when their own costs are increasing and funding opportunities are reduced.

We have seen for ourselves the incredible work and support that they offer to our ageing population, including those living with dementia. The need for fundraising was highlighted when we volunteered for a few weeks last year and we want to support them further in 2025.

In addition to a number of organised events, we will be continuing to offer our time to volunteer across their services to help them to continue to make a difference to the lives of older people and hope that this will lead to longer volunteering opportunities for our team
