Story

I'm raising money for Ashgate Hospice in memory of my wonderful and greatly missed sister Anne who sadly died of cancer last year.

In 1886 a cyclist set a world record for riding the furthest on a penny farthing without getting off. I will be attempting to break this very painful record, riding further than I've ever ridden before on a penny farthing with 24 hours to complete the ride.

This is where you lovely people come in. Make a donation (any donation is great, even £1) which will go to Ashgate Hospice and in the comments have a guess how far I will get before in breaks me. The closest guess to the real mileage will get a prize and if you want, a penny farthing lesson too.

Just to give you a hint, my longest ride to date is 200 miles but that was with stops so I may not even get that far as I'm not allowed to get off at all!

The ride will take place on August 6th at Reading Velodrome.

Round and round and round and round...
