Story

I'm raising money for Ashgate Hospice in memory of my wonderful and greatly missed sister Anne who sadly died of cancer last year.

On August 6th I will be attempting to break the 24 hour distance record on a penny farthing at Reading Velodrome. The current record stands at a mind boggling 339 miles. Currently the furthest I've ridden the penny in a day is 200 miles so this is a big ask.

While I'm at it I will also be attempting another world record at the same time, the longest penny farthing ride without getting off.

In 1886 a cyclist set a world record for riding the furthest on a penny farthing without getting off. I'm not telling you yet what the distance for this record is, lets play a game. Make a donation (any donation is great, even £1) which will go to Ashgate Hospice and in the comments have a guess how far I will get before it breaks me and I have to get off. The closest guess to the real mileage will get a prize and if you want, a penny farthing lesson too.
