Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital.

Our Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.

Following great success in 2022 where the NW region cycled from Carlisle to Chicago HQ raising £75000, this year’s challenge will stretch the region even further, cycling from RMHC Manchester to our furthest away RMHC House based in New Zealand with the aim of raising over £100000!

Once again, the challenge will run in two stages, the first stage will be a virtual bike ride using an exercise bike. This will run over 32 consecutive days across all 32 Franchise organisations and therefore across 32 restaurants giving each Franchisee the opportunity for their organisation to take part and host a leg of the challenge starting on Thursday 24th August through to Sunday 24th September covering in excess of 12000 miles!

To conclude the challenge, the second and final stage will see a number of Franchisees and the Field Service Team complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Tuesday 26th September.
