STRS is a specialist intensive care team that transports critically ill children to PICUs by ambulance, helicopter or plane. The team operate out of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Evelina London Children's Hospital.

Story

Please join me in supporting the South Thames Retrieval Service (STRS).

A year to the day, where Katy and I almost lost our little girl Amelia to Sepsis. She fell incredibly ill, and went into septic shock, after being taken to brighton hospital. The STRS played a major role in saving her life, and we cannot thank them or do enough for what they have done.

I could write so so much more about what happened on that day, and the weeks to follow (happy to share my experience with anyone who wants to know), however the fact is, Amelia is now a wonderfully happy, healthy little 3 year old.

As for this challenge, a few things that need to be said. I'm doing this with a number of my family members, some who have completed the challenge before, others, like myself, will be doing it for the 1st time. I'm very wary of heights, and they're definitely not my favourite..so the challenge is a real one in that respect for me.

Amelia is a major source of strength and will power for me, as because at the age of just 2, she showed more grit, determination, fight and heart than I've ever witnessed anybody show, so if my little girl can do it, then I have absolutely no excuse.

If you've read this far, I thank you, and if you feel like you could donate anything towards the cause, I would be greatly appreciative. This charity needs all the help it can get, because saving lives is no joke.
