Rob's running the London Half Marathon for the High Performance Foundation

High Performance London Half, 10k and Junior Race · 3 March 2024 ·
Some of you know that I was recently diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis after 13 years of chronic back pain. After years of no exercise and really embracing the dad bod I’ve decided to physically challenge myself by entering the London Half Marathon. If you know me well you know that I’ve never even ran 5k, in fact just before Christmas I ran my first 5k and thought I’d been in a serious car crash.
I was the kid that cheated at cross country during school although at the ripe old age of 37 I’ve decided to push myself and along side raising £2000+ for a cause that I’m very passionate about.
For the last 14 years I’ve been involved with training, coaching, inspiring and motivating people in my business and since being introduced to the High Performance Podcast I’ve been addicted.
I feel really passionate about giving young people access to skills and coaching so they can truly reach their potential. This is where the High Performance Foundation comes in, Jake, Damian and the team are creating something which I believe will be life changing for many young children. If you haven’t heard of the foundation yet please take 5 minutes to see what they’re doing https://www.thehighperformancepodcast.com/foundation
So this is where I need all my friends, family and colleagues to dig deep to support me getting across the finish line on March the 3rd.
If the image of me sweating and stumbling through the streets of London isn’t enough to get you to put your hands in your pockets, please donate so that we can give many young people the opportunity that we didn’t get growing up.

We have launched the High Performance Foundation to give young people, no matter their background, the tools and skills they need to kick start their journey to a future where they can thrive and believe it's within.
The High Performance Foundation is an independent charity, supported and powered by High Performance and its growing community of listeners and fans.
Our first programme will bring free resources and training to enable young people to develop skills such as combating failure, developing resilience and understanding the importance of being kind to themselves. Our resources have been designed to ensure we reach young people from underserved backgrounds and help to improve social mobility in
