Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising money for the Marine Conservation Society by attempting to break the world record for paddleboarding across the North Channel between Northern Ireland and Scotland. Depending on the weather, I will cross in the first week of June.
The Marine Conservation Society is a UK charity fighting for a cleaner, better protected, healthier ocean: one everyone can enjoy. The ocean provides more than half the oxygen people breathe and absorbs nearly a third of carbon emissions.
But today, the ocean is in crisis. Right now, waters are being polluted, and precious habitats are being destroyed. The Marine Conservation Society is determined to change this.
Please give generously to this very important charity.
£11.30 can pay for 1kg of litter to be collected.
£20 could equip two MCS volunteers to survey rubbish on our beaches, influencing government policy on marine litter.
£250 can run a beach-based school session covering a range of topics such as climate science and the UK’s marine biodiversity, connecting students to their local blue space.
£500 can support a fishermen survey where we can sample 4 turtle nesting beaches
Thanks!
