It was our wish for Rose to spend her final weeks and months at home. It would not have been possible without the Martlets Hospice. With their remarkable practical and emotional support alongside the community nurses team and the daily care visits, Martlets became an integral part of our lives.

Rose wanted to be able to pay tribute to the wonderful staff that we came to know, and the work that they do all around Brighton and Hove. Thank you so much to everyone there and we hope that they continue to support the people who need it for as long as possible.

Martlets is a local charity, providing essential services to people affected by life-limiting illness in Brighton and Hove, and surrounding areas. Our expert teams provide the very best hospice care and support, helping patients and their loved ones live life to the full during the precious time they have together.

Most people receive care from us in their own homes. Others with more complex needs spend their final days or weeks on our inpatient wards or join us for periods of symptom management or respite care. Outpatients also visit our hospice for pain relief, physiotherapy, counselling, complementary therapies and community social activities.
