Walking 100km for Keep Me Close 💛

On May 16th, 2026, I’ll be taking on a 100km continuous walk along the Jurassic Coast with my amazing friends Megan, Cam, and four others. Together, we’re raising money for a charity that means so much to us — Keep Me Close (Derriford NICU).

Many of you will know Megan and Cam’s little girl, Remi Beau, who came into the world in February 2023 and faced an incredibly tough start, spending her first two weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Derriford Hospital. Thanks to the incredible staff and the Keep Me Close Fund, Megan and Cam were able to stay close to Remi during those terrifying first days — something no parent should ever have to go without.

Now, almost three years on, Remi is a bright, brave, and beautiful little girl living with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. She fills every room with joy and laughter, and she brings so much happiness to everyone who knows her — including my son, Noah, who’s lucky enough to call her his best friend. 💛

As a mum myself, I can only imagine how hard those early days must have been. The thought of being separated from your baby when they need you most is something no parent should face. That’s why the work that Keep Me Close does is so important — providing accommodation and support for families with babies in NICU, helping them stay together through the hardest moments of their lives.

So, to show my love, support, and gratitude, I’ll be walking 100 kilometres non-stop along the Jurassic Coast. Every single step will be for those tiny fighters, their incredible families, and the amazing staff who care for them.

It’s going to be a huge challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the strength and courage shown by Remi, her family, and so many others who’ve faced similar journeys.

We’re walking to keep them close — one step, one smile, and one kilometre at a time. 💛
