Accessible Arts & Media 3 Peaks Challenge 2025

Rose Kent is raising money for Accessible Arts & Media

AAM Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge 2025 · 7 June 2025 ·

On Saturday 7th June, a team of staff and supporters from Accessible Arts & Media (AAM) are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.

Story

On Saturday 7th June, I’ll be joined by lots of family, friends and former colleagues from Accessible Arts & Media (AAM) to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.

We'll walk 24 miles and scale Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres) - all in under 12 hours. In true AAM style, we'll be singing and signing a song at the top of each peak!

Why are we doing the challenge this summer?

I co-founded AAM almost 35 years ago and love everything about this incredible charity. On retiring as Creative Director in April this year, I wanted to do something special to celebrate and mark the occasion! It's been like my 2nd family; always there, always shining brightly and always giving me immense joy. I'm so proud of what we've achieved and the difference we've made to literally hundreds of people over the years. AAM's inclusive arts and creative learning programmes support wellbeing by helping people develop confidence and skills to connect with their community and feel happy and valued.

My incredible family, friends, colleagues and volunteers have always got right behind all the fundraising ideas I've come up with over the years, from washing my gnomes and auctioning off family members during lockdown, to walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks back in 2018. I broke my leg 2 years ago and wondered if I'd ever be able to do walking challenges like this again, but having had loads of support and encouragement from everyone, and getting in lots of practice, I now feel ready to take on the Y3P again! And like the wonderful people they are, my family friends, colleagues and volunteers are right behind me!

Some have set up their own fundraising pages, which is just great. Included in my page are my wonderful daughter and her husband (Immy and Chris) and sons (Joe and Luke) who've been volunteering for AAM as long as they can remember, our fabulous friends, Laura and Sarah (also both volunteers) and our great friend and colleague, Pam.

Our fabulous team want to raise at least £1,000. We'd be so incredibly grateful if you'd support us.

The money you donate will help make sure AAM can keep supporting people to feel happy, connected, creative and valued. And we think that's pretty AAM-azing!

Love and thanks Rose, Immy, Chris, Joe, Luke, Laura, Sarah and Pam ❤️🙏
