Story
Hello! I am Rosie, I am 23 months old.
In October, I will be giving 110 high fives to raise money for midwives and nurses, like the ones who helped my Mummy when I was in her tummy.
I will be high fiving 110 friendly people (this may include dogs if they are not too big).
I am very lucky that my Mummy, Daddy, Nana and Grandma give me my favourite foods (yoghurt and cheese) but for some children whose Mummys are nurses or midwives and struggling, they have to go to a food bank. Cavell helps these nurses and their families so they can be safe and happy.
Mummy says:
In October 1915, British nurse Edith Cavell was executed for helping over 200 Allied soldiers escape from German-occupied Belgium. She cared for everyone, no matter their side, and gave her life for compassion and courage.
110 years later, her legacy still inspires us. Just like Edith, nurses and midwives today dedicate their lives to caring for others but when they face illness, domestic abuse, or financial hardship, they need someone to stand beside them. That’s where Cavell comes in.
This October, Rosie is joining Cavell’s 110 Campaign to honour Edith’s courage and support nurses and midwives in crisis. Together, we can mark this milestone with courage, kindness, and action, keeping Edith’s spirit alive and helping Cavell continue to be there for the nurses and midwives who care for us all.
Please support Rosie's challenge and stand with us in honouring nurses and midwives.
