Story

I am proud to be participating in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2026 on 13 September 2026 to support the Trades House of Glasgow Kinship Care Initiative. This cause is close to my heart because it champions children who are cared for by their extended families, helping them unlock their full potential and thrive as active citizens in our vibrant city.

While it might seem unusual to support a charity based in Glasgow rather than Edinburgh, it's important to recognize that Glasgow has the highest kinship placement rate in Scotland. Kinship care placements often go unnoticed, yet they are just as vital and deserving of recognition and support as any other form of care. These children need our advocacy and resources to ensure they receive the opportunities they deserve.

I invite you to join me in making a difference by supporting this incredible initiative. Your contribution will help provide essential resources and opportunities for these children, empowering them to build brighter futures. Together, we can shine a light on kinship care and make a lasting impact—please donate today and help us walk towards change.
