Story

Support Ross McConchie & James Anderson

Ross McConchie and James Anderson are taking on the Montane Summer MRT Challenge South — a grueling 108-mile challenge along the Pennine Way from Edale to Hawes.

They are undertaking this incredible challenge to raise funds for the upgrade of the IT systems within the Incident Control Vehicle (ICV) for Galloway Mountain Rescue Team.

The ICV plays a vital role during mountain rescue incidents, acting as the operational hub for coordinating searches, managing communications, and supporting rescue teams on the ground. It is especially critical during missing person searches, where fast and reliable information can make all the difference.

Upgrading the IT systems will help improve the team’s ability to respond efficiently and effectively when people need help most.

Every donation, big or small, will directly support the ongoing work of the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team and help ensure the Incident Control Vehicle remains fit for the demands of modern rescue operations.

The Galloway Mountain Rescue Team is entirely voluntary, and your support helps keep these lifesaving services operational for everyone who enjoys the outdoors.

Thank you for your support.
